Paris girls are mad about it because the decor as well as the atmosphere of Square Trousseau are just crazy ! We might think we are in the heart of Marais here… but we aren’t, we are at Bastille, close to Gare de Lyon.

At Square Trousseau, everybody is stylish, everything is nicely designed  between simplicity, lighting, mouldings, Art Déco brought up to date, zinc and traditional ceilings: it’s all great, the staff is friendly, and above all the food tastes nice and you eat quality products. In Telerama magazine Square Trousseau is rated  « 2T » the maximum grade: the place is « highly recommended ».

It’s our milestone, the epicentre, the HQ of the Nouveau Bastille district.

Let’s go there just for a cup of coffee, or have an organic carrot juice, minute made (10€), whitefish tartare with condiments (14€), 6 big Burgundy snails (15€), the  famous hake « merlan Colbert » (26€), a prime rib from Metzger (a wellknown Paris butcher, fabulous meat, 38€ per 350g) or  bangers and mash from Eric Ospital (the wellknown basque pork-butcher, 22€ to savour the real taste of a sausage which really comes from the South West of France)…Breakfasts are the most pleasant around  (try the Classic for 15€ , you have a double coffe or hot drink, fresh squeezed fruit juice, fresh fruit salad, pastries croissants or bread or toast with butter and jam) and don’t forget the very popular daily Brunch for 24€ .

Square Trousseau with its terrace is always open (restaurant open 7 /7 with a non-stop service): one more reason to pop in anytime with anybody.

If you are a party of 18, please note that the shop next door has been converted into a beautiful private or privatisable dining room. Keep it in mind for a family party or a business meeting / dinner!
