30 mn itinerary : Canal Saint Martin et Bassin de la Villette
Get out of Paris Boutik on the right, go down Rue Caffarelli to the end
Turn left rue Perrée
Take the 4th on your right rue du Temple all the way to place de la République
Cross it over and on the other side take the rue du Faubourg du Temple up to Canal Saint Martin
Turn left along Canal Saint Martin, no matter which side
When you reach the elevated train ( Jean Jaurès tube station), you’ll have to cross the Avenue Jean Jaurès straight ahead in order to follow up along the Bassin de la Villette.
The rue de Crimée, right at the end of the bassin de la Villette, enables you to turn back and come back along the other side of the Canal.
Paris Boutik roundtrip about 30mn
45 mn itinerary : all the way to Parc de la Villette
Follow the same itinerary as above-mentioned.
Instead of turning back rue de Crimée, continue along the wharf, follow the Canal de L’ourcq and then go into the Parc de la Villette (open day and night).
Turn right in the park to run along the Grande Halle de la Villette, la Philharmonie de Paris, go past the Zénith de la Villette, go on the other side of the Canal, you’ll get to the Cabaret Sauvage, then go round the Géode and the City of Sciences and Industry.
Cross over and come back along the Canal de l’Ourcq, the Bassin de la Villette and the Canal Saint Martin.
Paris Boutik roundtrip about 45mn
1 hour and more itinerary : Canal de l’Ourcq
The Canal de l’Ourcq flows throughout the northern Paris area so you can still follow it along dozens of kilometers after the Parc de la Villette…
Take the previous 45mn itinerary to go as far as Parc de la Villette and remember that Canal de l’Ourcq is the one on the right on the map : if you feel fine you just go on as far as you like and turn back whenever you like.
